Centro could not successfully provide services to the community without the extensive contributions of volunteers and interns. People volunteer for many reasons. Many feel compassion for others in need, some want to “give back” and others are passionate about the issues facing our communities. Whatever your reason for volunteering, we can help you get involved in an activity that matches your interests and skills.
Internship Opportunities
Intern students will have one-on-one support from our experienced educators and supervisors to learn about Centro’s programs and to apply what they have learned in the classroom.
Internships start at various points throughout the year and the length of time is flexible, however, we prefer a commitment of 6-10 hours a week for a minimum of three months. Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred but not required for all internships.
Available internships for:
- Social Work
- Education (adult and child)
- Health and Nutrition
- Psychology
- Sociology
- Community Outreach
- Business and Non-profit Management
- Information Systems
