    Under the direct supervision of the center manager, develops and oversees family partnership activities and develops collaborative community partnerships. Works closely with parents, teachers, developmental specialists, and community partners to implement agency and Head Start program objectives and activities. Plays a critical role in supporting families and in children’s school readiness. Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field. Bilingual Spanish English required. Physical requirements include extended periods of time sitting or standing, ability to lift 50 lbs., ability to stoop, bend, and perform other actions commonly associated with caring for young children and infants and visiting families in agricultural environments.   • Holden (Fillmore): Bus Driver

    Under the supervision of the Transportation Manager,  the Bus Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transport of children and parents/families between program activities and home as well as on field trips. The Bus Driver is also responsible for always keeping the vehicle clean and in safe operating condition. Qualifications: The minimum requirement is a high school diploma or GED and a current in-state Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a School Bus and Passenger endorsement and/or other criteria specifically required by the state. Requirements: Needs to have CPR and First Aid Certification, bilingual preferred, but not required, English/Spanish.  Wage Range: $19.22 - $24.99.  This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of $2,000. The selected candidate will receive $1,000 after 60 days of employment and $1,000 when the season ends or upon 6 months of employment, whichever occurs first.

  • Clinton: Cook

    Responsible for overseeing a Head Start Center's Food Services. Ensures compliance with all appropriate Local, State and Federal regulations pertaining to the Food Services component. This position is responsible for the ordering, preparing, serving and documenting of meals and snacks. It includes following menus and all phases of kitchen operations including inventory control. The position contributes to the smooth operations and functioning of the kitchen in adherence to health and food safety codes and the strict cleanliness of the kitchen and food service and storage areas. The position may prepare foods for infants and toddlers and/or preschool children following the USDA/CACFP standards. Qualifications: HS/GED. Minimum of 1-year experience in food preparation. Familiarity with USDA/CCFP meal requirements. Experience in preparing diverse appropriate foods. Ability to read and write English. Experience in purchasing, documenting food production, food costs and meal counts. Experience in supervising staff or volunteers desirable.     Under the direction of the Transportation & Facilities Manager and Area Managers, supports the management of the transportation and facilities components for the centers, assist in running all aspects of the transportation, maintenance, and safety component areas of the centers in accordance with the Head Start Act, Head Start Performance Standards, applicable laws and regulations, state licensing guidelines, and national best practices. Qualifications: High School diploma with some college highly preferred. Some experience with facilities and transportation management. Experience with working with and following federal guidelines. Primary duties will be assisting in the classroom, on the playground, and other areas around the center to ensure health, safety and promote school readiness. Secondary duties may include support to the cook, office manager, family service specialist, and disabilities specialist. Qualifications: The minimum requirement is that the individual be 18 years of age.  This is an entry-level position requiring no previous education or experience. HS/GED is highly preferred.  Current and former Early Head Start and Head Start parents will receive preference for employment vacancies for which they are qualified.  CDA or AA in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.   • South Area: Early Childhood Education Coach

    Under the direction of the Education Director, assist with CDLF’s implementation of Practice-Based Coaching (PBC) by providing intensive coaching to teachers to help improve and refine teaching practices associated with positive child outcomes for children. This individual will work with teachers in our Mt. Pleasant, Centerfield, Genola and Holden Centers. Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with adequate training and experience in adult learning and in using assessment data to drive coaching strategies. Ability to work and communicate effectively with English and Spanish speakers. Physical requirements may include extended periods of time sitting or standing, ability to lift 50 lbs., ability to stoop, bend, crawl and perform other actions commonly associated with caring for young children and infants.   • Salt Lake City (Main Office): Accounts Payable Specialist

    Under the direction of the Finance Director and Accounting Manager, responsible to assist and manage the accounts payable area to support Colorado and possible Nevada personnel with the procurement and purchasing processes. Record general ledger coding on purchase orders and make sure all purchase requisitions have proper approval. Ensure that bids and quotes are received on major purchases as required by federal procurement regulations. Keep accurate files of all bids and quotes and contract documents including compliance with Davis Bacon Act where appropriate. Demonstrate proficiency with the Microsoft office suite. Qualifications: Associates degree (minimum) in accounting, business management or related field preferred. Physical requirements include extended periods of time sitting or standing, ability to lift 50 lbs., ability to perform other actions commonly associated with accounting.
