  • Bus Aide

    Wage Range: $12.24 - $15.68

    Under the supervision of the Bus Driver, possess the ability and willingness to assist in various areas as assigned. Primary duties will be to ensure the health and safety of the children on the bus. Assists the bus driver to ensure the safety and well-being of children by providing direct supervision and actively engaging with children. Attend 4 hours of required training before starting work on the bus.
    Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. HS/GED is preferred. Current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler's permit required. Must be able to work with children with special needs and children with limited or no English. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. This is a part time position (28 hours per week)

  • Bus Driver

    Wage Range: $15.46 - $21.27

    Under the supervision of the Lead Bus Driver, this position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transport of children and parents/families between program activities and home and on field trips. This position is also responsible to keep the vehicle clean and in safe operating conditions always.
    Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, current in-state Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a School Bus and Passenger endorsement and/or other criteria specifically required by the state. CPR and First Aid Certification required. Bilingual preferred English/Spanish.

  • Center Aide

    Wage Range: $12.24 - $15.68

    Under the supervision of the Center Support Specialist, possess the ability and willingness to help various areas as assigned. Primary duties will be helping in the classroom, on the playground, and/or on the bus to ensure safety and promote school readiness. Secondary duties may include supporting the cook, office manager, family service specialist, and disabilities specialist.

    Wage Range: $21.14 - $32.11

    In representation of the Area Manager, provides operational and administrative guidance for the Head Start program in the centers within assigned region. Monitors and ensures quality services to children and families in accordance with Centro' s policies and procedures, and Head Start Performance Standards. Observes and advises staff in all activities affecting and involving children. Oversees inventory and use of equipment and other materials.
    Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in administration, management ,or related field, and 3+ years of supervisory experience.

    Wage Range: $12.35 - $17.04

    Responsible for overseeing a Head Start Center's Food Services. Ensures compliance with all appropriate Local, State, and Federal regulations pertaining to the Food Services component. This position is responsible for ordering, preparing, serving, and documenting meals and snacks; following menus, overseeing kitchen operations and inventory. The position contributes to the smooth operation, function, and strict cleanliness of the kitchen, food service, and food storage, in adherence to health and food safety codes and following the USDA/CACFP standards.
    Qualifications: HS/GED. Minimum of 1-year experience in food preparation. Bilingual English Spanish preferred. Familiarity with USDA/CACFP meal requirements. Experience preparing culturally appropriate foods; food purchasing; documenting food production, costs, and meal counts. Current Food Handler permit, ServeSafe Certification or equivalent.

    Wage Range: $15.46 - $21.27

    Under the direction of the Education Manager, monitors and supervises the Head Start education services in the center. Ensures that such services are comprehensive, culturally relevant, and developmentally appropriate in a learning environment that maximizes opportunities for each child’s physical, emotional, social and cognitive growth; guides curriculum and assessment fidelity including data collection and analysis; supports professional development and training; and ensures teachers support parents in their role as the child’s first teacher.
    Qualifications: Associate degree in early childhood education or a related field, with early childhood education teaching experience. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.

  • Family Service/Developmental Specialist

    Wage Range: $15.46 - $21.27

    Under the direct supervision of the Family and Community Partnership manager, develops and oversees family partnership activities and develops collaborative community partnerships. Actively recruits to meet and maintain funded enrollment throughout the program year. Works closely with parents, teachers, and community partners to implement agency and Head Start program objectives and activities. Plays a critical role in engaging families in the program and supporting families in children’s school readiness. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.  Manages disability services at the center for children and families. Serves as the case manager for children needing special services, and as the team lead for children needing mental health services. Responsible for building strong relationships with the Local Education Agencies and Early Intervention Agencies to ensure IEPs/IFSPs are developed are implemented.

    Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Special Education, Child Development or a related field, with emphasis or experience in special education, social work, and/or psychology. Bilingual Spanish-English required.

  • Human Resources Specialist

    Wage Range: $21.14 - $32.11

    Responsible for general human resources administrative functions, including hiring, payroll and benefits. Maintain a personnel file for every employee to ensure that files are complete and kept up to date. Manage position vacancies, including posting positions and ensuring proper hiring procedures are followed. Responsible for maintaining good relationships and communications with CDLF staff. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality in matters pertaining to administrative and programmatic matters.
    Qualifications: AA in Business Administration, Accounting or human resource related field and one-year related work experience preferred; or, HS/GED and five years of progressively more responsible experience in successful operation in payroll and human resource functions. Must be familiar with current labor laws and human resource practices. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. This is a full time position.
