    Wage Range: $12.67 - $16.23

    Under the supervision of the Center Support Specialist, possess the ability and willingness to help various areas as assigned. Primary duties will be helping in the classroom, on the playground, and/or on the bus to ensure safety and promote school readiness. Secondary duties may include supporting the cook, office manager, family service specialist, and disabilities specialist.
    Qualifications: High School diploma. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.

  • Cook

    Wage Range: $12.79 - $17.64

    Responsible for overseeing a Head Start Center's Food Services. Ensures compliance with all appropriate Local, State, and Federal regulations pertaining to the Food Services component. This position is responsible for ordering, preparing, serving, and documenting meals and snacks; following menus, overseeing kitchen operations and inventory. The position contributes to the smooth operation, function, and strict cleanliness of the kitchen, food service, and food storage, in adherence to health and food safety codes and following the USDA/CACFP standards.
    Qualifications: HS/GED. Minimum of 1-year experience in food preparation. Bilingual English Spanish preferred. Familiarity with USDA/CACFP meal requirements. Experience preparing culturally appropriate foods; food purchasing; documenting food production, costs, and meal counts. Current Food Handler permit, ServeSafe Certification or equivalent.

  • Office Manager

    Wage Range: $14.21- $19.62

    Under the direct supervision of the Center Support Specialist, provides administrative support to the Head Start center. Responsible to complete hiring process of staff at center level. Implements and ensures quality services to children and families in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards. Provides support to staff in all activities affecting and involving children. Oversees use and inventory of office equipment and materials. Occasionally drives a school bus.
    Qualifications: Associate degree or higher in administration, management, or related field. Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly recommended. CDL required or the ability to obtain one. This is full time position.

    Under the supervision of the Education Specialist, administers a program of early childhood education that is developmentally, linguistically & culturally appropriate; meets the individual & holistic needs of infants and toddlers; plans and implements learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation and use of assessment to help promote children’s developmental progression; and works closely with parents and families to ensure they are intentionally included in the planning & execution of their child’s education. Works as a team member with other staff, parents, and volunteers.
    Qualifications: Child Development Associate (CDA) or comparable credential, with a focus on infant and toddler development. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.

    Under the supervision of the Education Specialist and the leadership of the Preschool Teacher, administers a program of early childhood education that is developmentally, linguistically & culturally appropriate; meets the individual & holistic needs of preschool aged children; assists the preschool teacher implement the curriculum. Works as a team member with other staff, parents, and volunteers. Assumes Preschool Teacher duties in the temporary absence of the Preschool Teacher.
    Qualifications: Child Development Associate (CDA), a degree in early childhood education, or enrollment in a program that will result in a CDA or college degree within two years of hire. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
