  • Center Aide

    Wage Range: $12.67 - $16.23

    Under the supervision of the Regional Manager, possess the ability and willingness to help various areas as assigned. Primary duties will be helping in the classroom, on the playground, and/or on the bus to ensure safety and promote school readiness. Secondary duties may include supporting the cook, office manager, family service specialist, and disabilities specialist.
    Qualifications: High School diploma. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.

  • Cook Aide

    Wage Range: $12.67 to $16.23

    Responsible for assisting the Cook with Head Start Food Services. Ensures compliance with all appropriate Local, State and Federal regulations pertaining to the Food Services component. Assists with all phases of kitchen operations; meal planning, ordering, preparing, serving, and documentation of meals and snacks; following menus and maintaining inventory. Assists with the smooth operations, functioning, and strict cleanliness of the kitchen in adherence to health and food safety codes. This is an entry-level position requiring no previous education or experience.
    Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age. HS/GED is highly preferred. Current Food handlers permit/certification.  Bilingual English Spanish preferred.

  • Education and Development Specialist

    Wage Range: $16.01 - $22.02

    Under the direction of the Area Manager, manages the Head Start education and developmental services in the center. Ensures that such services are comprehensive, culturally relevant, and developmentally appropriate in a learning environment that maximizes opportunities for each child’s physical, emotional, social and cognitive growth. Ensures teachers support parents in their role as the child’s first teacher.  Manage all aspects of the education and disabilities services in the center(s) in accordance with the Head Start Act, Head Start Performance Standards, developmentally appropriate practices, early childhood education and special education best practices, and the CDLF’s School Readiness Plan. One-time $1,000.00 bonus payable after 60 days of employment.
    Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or related field, with emphasis or experience in special education, social work, or psychology. Three years’ management and/or group process experience. Bilingual English Spanish required. Physical requirements included extended periods of time sitting or standing, ability to lift 50 lbs., ability to stoop, bend, crawl and perform other actions commonly associated with caring for young children and infants.

  • Human Resources Specialist

    Wage Range: $16.01 - $22.02

    Responsible for general human resources administrative functions, including hiring, payroll and benefits. Maintain a personnel file for every employee to ensure that files are complete and kept up to date. Manage position vacancies, including posting positions and ensuring proper hiring procedures are followed. Responsible for maintaining good relationships and communications with CDLF staff. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality in matters pertaining to administrative and programmatic matters. Know current labor laws in the state of Colorado and Nevada, and human resource best practices. Travel occasionally is required for this position.  
    Qualifications: AA in Business Administration, Accounting or human resource related field and one-year related work experience preferred; or, HS/GED and five years of progressively more responsible experience in successful operation in payroll and human resource functions. Must be familiar with current labor laws and human resource practices. Bilingual Spanish/English required.

  • Office Manager

    Wage Range: $14.53 to $19.62

    Under the direct supervision of the Center Support Specialist, provides administrative support to the Head Start center. Implements and ensures quality services to children and families in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards. Provides support to staff in all activities affecting and involving children. Oversees use and inventory of office equipment and materials. Occasionally drives a school bus.
    Qualifications: Associate degree or higher in administration, management, or related field. Bilingual in Spanish and English required. CDL required or the ability to obtain one.

  • Substitute Bus Driver

    Wage Range: $18.46 - $24.46

    Under the supervision of the Lead Bus Driver, this position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transport of children and parents/families between program activities and home and on field trips. This position is also responsible to keep the vehicle clean and in safe operating conditions always.
    Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, current in-state Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a School Bus and Passenger endorsement and/or other criteria specifically required by the state. CPR and First Aid Certification required. Bilingual preferred English/Spanish.  This is a substitute position, not eligible for benefits.

    Wage Range: $14.53 - $19.62

    Under the supervision of the Education Specialist, administers a program of early childhood education that is developmentally, linguistically & culturally appropriate; meets the individual & holistic needs of infants and toddlers; plans and implements learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation and use of assessment to help promote children’s developmental progression; and works closely with parents and families to ensure they are intentionally included in the planning & execution of their child’s education. Works as a team member with other staff, parents, and volunteers.
    Qualifications: Child Development Associate (CDA) or comparable credential, with a focus on infant and toddler development. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.

Works as a team member with other staff, parents, and volunteers. Assumes Preschool Teacher duties in the temporary absence of the Preschool Teacher.
    Qualifications: Child Development Associate (CDA), a degree in early childhood education, or enrollment in a program that will result in a CDA or college degree within two years of hire. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
