  • Accounting Manager-Budget Specialist

    Wage Range: $20 to $25

    Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the operation and training of the accounting department. Supervise and coordinate the activities of accounting. Learn accounting software in-depth. Monitor and supervise the recording of transactions in the Agency’s accounting system, specifically, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, journal entries and general ledger maintenance. Supervise payroll accounting and use of payroll software system. Develop internal control systems, policies and procedures in accordance with professional accounting practices and government regulations. Prepare monthly and annual budget. Prepare and submit financial reports as required by all funding sources. Prepare detail analysis of budget projections, meets regularly with managers to discuss budgets and fiscal needs. Provide fiscal training when needed.
    Qualifications: BA or advanced degree in accounting, preferred. Three (3) years of related work experience, preferred. One-year experience in a supervisory capacity preferred. Experience with Fund Accounting and accounting software in a Non-profit environment preferred. Experience with information systems and software reporting. Experience with Microsoft software, including SharePoint and PowerBI. Knowledge of FundEZ accounting software and Payrolls software a plus.

    Wage Range: $15 to $20

    Responsible for all accounts payable and other general accounting functions in support of the Accounting Manager and Finance Director.

  • Bus Aide

    Wage Range: $12 to $15

    Under the supervision of the Bus Driver, possess the ability and willingness to assist in various areas as assigned. Primary duties will be to ensure the health and safety of the children on the bus. Assists the bus driver to ensure the safety and well-being of children by providing direct supervision and actively engaging with children. Attend 4 hours of required training before starting work on the bus.
    Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. HS/GED is preferred. Current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler's permit required.   • Bus Driver

    Wage Range: $12 to $18

    Under the supervision of the Lead Bus Driver, this position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transport of children and parents/families between program activities and home and on field trips. This position is also responsible to keep the vehicle clean and in safe operating conditions always.
    Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, current in-state Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a School Bus and Passenger endorsement and/or other criteria specifically required by the state. CPR and First Aid Certification required. Bilingual preferred English/Spanish.

  • Center Aide

    Wage Range: $12 to $15

    Under the supervision of the Regional Manager, possess the ability and willingness to help various areas as assigned.     Responsible for overseeing a Head Start Center's Food Services. Ensures compliance with all appropriate Local, State, and Federal regulations pertaining to the Food Services component. This position is responsible for ordering, preparing, serving, and documenting meals and snacks; following menus, overseeing kitchen operations and inventory. The position contributes to the smooth operation, function, and strict cleanliness of the kitchen, food service, and food storage, in adherence to health and food safety codes and following the USDA/CACFP standards.
    Qualifications: HS/GED. Minimum of 1-year experience in food preparation. Bilingual English Spanish preferred. Familiarity with USDA/CACFP meal requirements.   • Developmental Specialist

    Wage Range: $15 to $20

    Under the direct supervision of the Education Manager, manages disability services at the center for children and families. Serves as the case manager for children needing special services, and as the team lead for children needing mental health services. Responsible for building strong relationships with the Local Education Agencies and Early Intervention Agencies to ensure IEPs/IFSPs are developed are implemented. Responsible for building strong working relationships with parents and promoting parental involvement throughout the special education process. Works with teaching staff to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Facilitates referrals to community agencies for needed services.
    Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development or related field, with emphasis or experience in special education, social work, and/or psychology. Bilingual English Spanish required. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.

    Wage Range: $20 to $25

    Under the direction of the Education Director, assist with Centro’s implementation of Practice-Based Coaching (PBC) by providing intensive coaching with teachers to help improve and refine teaching practices associated with positive child outcomes for children. Use coaching data to make informed decisions that best support teacher’s development.

    Wage Range: $15 to $20

    Under the direction of the Education Manager, monitors and supervises the Head Start education services in the center. Ensures that such services are comprehensive, culturally relevant, and developmentally appropriate in a learning environment that maximizes opportunities for each child’s physical, emotional, social and cognitive growth; guides curriculum and assessment fidelity including data collection and analysis; supports professional development and training; and ensures teachers support parents in their role as the child’s first teacher.

  • Health Manager

    Wage Range: $20 to $30

    The Health Manager oversees and coordinates the health and nutrition content areas for the effective delivery of Head Start services to children and families and ensures that such services are comprehensive and culturally relevant in order to maximize opportunities for each child’s physical and mental growth and well-being. This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to network within the community and among health professionals.
    Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in public health, nursing, or related field. One year of experience in social services or health and nutrition is desired. Bilingual Spanish English is required.

  • Human Resources Specialist

    Wage Range: $15 to $20

    Responsible for general human resources administrative functions, including hiring, payroll and benefits. Maintain a personnel file for every employee to ensure that files are complete and kept up to date. Manage position vacancies, including posting positions and ensuring proper hiring procedures are followed. Responsible for maintaining good relationships and communications with CDLF staff. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality in matters pertaining to administrative and programmatic matters.
    Qualifications: AA in Business Administration, Accounting or human resource related field and one-year related work experience preferred; or, HS/GED and five years of progressively more responsible experience in successful operation in payroll and human resource functions.
