  • Center Aide

    Wage Range: $12.56 - $15.87

    Under the supervision of the Regional Manager, possess the ability and willingness to help various areas as assigned. Primary duties will be helping in the classroom, on the playground, and/or on the bus to ensure safety and promote school readiness. Secondary duties may include supporting the cook, office manager, family service specialist, and disabilities specialist.
    Qualifications: High School diploma. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.

  • Developmental Specialist

    Wage Range: $15.65 to $21.53

    Under the direct supervision of the Education Manager, manages disability services at the center for children and families. Serves as the case manager for children needing special services, and as the team lead for children needing mental health services. Responsible for building strong relationships with the Local Education Agencies and Early Intervention Agencies to ensure IEPs/IFSPs are developed are implemented. Responsible for building strong working relationships with parents and promoting parental involvement throughout the special education process. Works with teaching staff to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Facilitates referrals to community agencies for needed services.
    Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development or related field, with emphasis or experience in special education, social work, and/or psychology. Bilingual English Spanish required. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.

  • Education and Development Specialist

    Wage Range: $15.56 - $21.53

    Under the direction of the Area Manager, manages the Head Start education and developmental services in the center. Ensures that such services are comprehensive, culturally relevant, and developmentally appropriate in a learning environment that maximizes opportunities for each child’s physical, emotional, social and cognitive growth. Ensures teachers support parents in their role as the child’s first teacher.  Manage all aspects of the education and disabilities services in the center(s) in accordance with the Head Start Act, Head Start Performance Standards, developmentally appropriate practices, early childhood education and special education best practices, and the CDLF’s School Readiness Plan. One-time $1,000.00 bonus payable after 60 days of employment.
    Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or related field, with emphasis or experience in special education, social work, or psychology. Three years’ management and/or group process experience. Bilingual English-Spanish required. Physical requirements included extended periods of time sitting or standing, ability to lift 50 lbs., ability to stoop, bend, crawl and perform other actions commonly associated with caring for young children and infants.

    Under the supervision of the Family and Community Partnership Manager, develops and oversees social service activities, makes contact with community resources and partners, and ensures quality service to families. Works closely with Family Services Specialists, parents, staff and community to implement Head Start and other program objectives and activities.
    Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a social service-related field. One or more years’ experience in social services, preferably in a supervisory capacity. Bilingual Spanish-English required.

    Under the direction of Area Manager and Health & safety specialist. Assist in all aspects of the maintenance, and safety component areas of the centers in accordance with the Head Start Act, Head Start Performance Standards, applicable laws and regulations, state licensing guidelines, and national best practices.
    Qualifications: High School diploma. Physical requirements include extended periods of time sitting or standing, ability to lift 100 lbs., ability to stoop, bend, climb and perform other actions commonly associated with general handyman tasks. Valid driver’s license.

  • Health & Nutrition Manager

    Wage Range: $21.40 to $32.40

    The Health & Nutrition Manager oversees and coordinates the health and nutrition content areas for the effective delivery of Head Start services to children and families and ensures that such services are comprehensive and culturally relevant in order to maximize opportunities for each child’s physical and mental growth and well-being. This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to network within the community and among health professionals.
    Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in public health, nursing, or related field. One year of experience in social services or health and nutrition is desired. Bilingual Spanish English is required.

    Qualifications: Child Development Associate (CDA), a degree in early childhood education, or enrollment in a program that will result in a CDA or college degree within two years of hire. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
