Kari Moore

Program Design and Community Impact Manager

Kari has a passion for serving at-risk diverse populations developed during her service as an LDS missionary in Lima, Peru. While completing a BA in Latin American Studies at Brigham Young University (BYU) she fell in love with the non-profit industry and began taking non-profit management courses at BYU’s Marriott School of Business including grant writing and non-profit resource development.

Kari began working for Centro in January 2015 as a Family Service Specialist providing social services to low-income and diverse families. In September 2016 she was awarded the Chief Executive Officer’s Award for Service Excellence for going beyond her regular job duties to ensure the well-being of the families on her caseload. Her experience as a Family Advocate influences her current role as the Program Design and Community Impact Manager. In this capacity, Kari facilitates the execution of grant communications, the community assessment, self-assessment, annual reports, on-going monitoring of Head Start Program services, and data-driven demonstration of community impact. Additionally, she oversees community outreach, revenue development, and social media marketing.

When not at work she enjoys spending time outside hiking, long-distance running or working out. While very active Kari also loves to curl up with a good book, playing the cello, and spending time with her husband.
